The free tax filing service that the Tax Office has been providing for many decades has been discontinued.
A notice from Acting Treasurer Brett Butler encourages tax filers to use the services of licensed tax practitioners and professionals.
The Tax Office had made it known during last year’s filing season that the free tax filing service would be discontinued this year.
The Tax Office opened Monday at the Fagatogo Square.
For corrections and other issues relating to 2024 and prior returns, email: taxoffice@tr.as.gov.
Appointments are required. No walk-ins will be accepted.
For clearances/transcripts for commercial drivers, immigration, daycare, and similar purposes will be accepted only on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays.
2025 Tax Forms will be available this week. The Tax Office will start accepting filed tax returns on January 26.
