Building a local cadre of forensic nurses to evaluate, gather evidence, and testify in cases of sexual assault and abuse is one of the aims of the training organized by Pae ma le Auli.
Dr. William Smock, a police surgeon and internationally recognized forensic expert, said using forensic nurses has been found to have a 95% conviction rate around the world.
