The father of a four-year-old boy who drowned at the Falefa waterfall, has been charged with failure to provide necessities of life.
Samoa Observer said Police Commissioner Auapa’au Logoitino Filipo confirmed the charges against Taufoe Faitoto’a after a recommendation from the Coroner following an analysis of the situation leading to the death of the child.
The four-year-old was allegedly pushed into the waterfall and is believed to have drowned on Wednesday, last week.
He and his two younger siblings were without adult supervision near the waterfall when the incident happened.
The two younger children, a two-year-old and a one-year-old reportedly jumped into the waterfall to save their brother.
Luckily, a passerby jumped in and saved them.
