Paintings by high school students are on exhibit at the DOE Conference Room in Utulei.

There are contemporary pieces, as well as realistic impressions by the students showing beach scenes, sunsets, flowers and also abstract paintings.

Art Coordinator at the Department of Education, Voloti Malietoa says only Fagaitua, Tafuna and Leone High School art students submitted paintings for the art show.

A painting by a special education student from Fagaitua High School is included in the exhibit.

Malietoa said they hope to have a bigger venue to display the students art work next year.

In the past, the art work of elementary and high school students would be on exhibit at the Jean P. Haydon Museum.

The art show is on display for two weeks.
