For some time now reports have been circulating that government departments and offices at the AP Lutali Executive Office Building in Utulei will be relocated to Tafuna while the EOB is rebuilt.

According to the reports, the plan is to move offices in the EOB to a three story building owned by Paramount Builders, that’s still under construction in Tafuna.

For most of last year, there was hardly any work going on at the building but since the beginning of this year, crews have been seen putting in windows and working on the exterior of the building.

KHJ News asked the Governor’s Office if it’s true that the EOB will be relocated to the new Paramount Building.

Here’s the response we received: “Regarding Paramount’s 3-story building in Tafuna, ASG is considering the government’s needs and assessing options to best serve the people of American Samoa. The timeline for offices in Utulei to move has not been determined yet. Plans for repairing or rebuilding the EOB are also under consideration, and specific details have not been finalized.”
