Deputy Commissioner of Public Safety Vaipuna Foifua Foifua Jr. has given assurances that police have not given up on the search for the 20-year-old that’s been missing from Afono since April 12.
The mother of the missing person, Vincent Eti, told KHJ News yesterday that there’s been no information from police about their effort to find her son.
She said she and her family have been looking for her son around Iliili and Vaitogi after a high school student reported he saw Vincent in Iliili on the night of April 14.
The Deputy Commissioner said, this morning, police can’t go on hearsay and have to verify the information that the student gave about seeing the missing person.
“Police are doing their work,” he told KHJ News. “The search is continuing.”
