To celebrate International Jazz Day which is today April 30, the Big Wave Jazz Ensemble from the US Pacific Fleet Band will be performing in the territory this week.
The band has been in Samoa performing in school and community events, and arrives today on their way back to Honolulu.
The Samoana Jazz and Arts Festival Board announces that the band will entertain at the TAOA Center at 10am tomorrow, Wednesday, and an afternoon performance on Thursday at the VA Center in Tafuna. A planned performance at the Samoana Gym today at noon has been cancelled.
During a pop-up performance at the ACC compound in downtown Apia, the band thrilled the crowd with their rendition of Samoa Matalasi.
