The mother of the young man reported missing from Afono two weeks ago says prayers are all she can depend on now to find her son.

She’s troubled that there’s been no word from police about the search for Vincent Eti after a high school student reported that he was seen at a store in Iliili, the weekend he didn’t return home.

The mother, Logo Eti, said she and family members have covered a lot of ground in Iliili and Vaitogi, even walking the entire golf course, to try and look for clues of her son. She’s asked families and showed photos of her son, but no one seems to have any information about him.

She’s also asked to view footage from the store in Iliili where her son was reported to have hung out with friends. But the Asian owners have not given permission.

The distressed mother said she thought this is what the police should be doing, but there‘s no evidence of a police search.

She said, “I pray that an angel will bring him home. Prayers are our only hope now.”

Calls to Deputy Commissioner of Public safety Vaipuna Foifua Foifua for comments were not answered.
