Governor Lemanu Peleti Mauga is asking the Fono to extend the terms of two members of the Board of Trustees of the American Samoa Government Employees Retirement Fund whose terms expired last July.
They are Senator Tuaolo Manaia Fruean and Tony Tagoa’i, whose terms expired July 22, 2023.
The Governor is reappointing them to the Board of Trustees and their new terms are up to July 22, 2029.
A third board member, whose term expired last July, is Ueli Tonumaipe’a. But Governor Lemanu is not reappointing him. Lemanu said he is currently in the process of selecting someone to fill this position.
Until the time of such appointment, this position will remain vacant.
