A team of federal agents was here to conduct investigations related to importation of drugs into the territory.

The team included inspectors for the United States Postal Service, Federal Bureau of Investigations, and other agencies.

The agents, who arrived last Thursday, were seen going through the Post Office facility this week.

It’s believed that the group worked with the Department of Homeland Security, police, and customs while on island.

Director of Homeland Security Samana Semo Ve’ave’a, who is currently off island, would only confirm that six federal agents were here, but declined to provide any details saying the investigation is continuing.

The team left last night.
