Congratulations to the Tafuna Warriors for retaining the ASHAA high school football championship. John Raynar recaps the local Superbowl between Tafuna and the Leone Lions, held last Saturday.
High school football wrapped up this past weekend with Tafuna winning their 4th consecutive football championship over the Leone Lions in a final score of 44 to 20.
Postgame awards were handed out to Kanai Satele as MVP, Leone’s Robert Coulter got the special teams award, Semisi Moli was Offensive Player of the Game, Reagan Duffy Magalo was named Quarterback of the Game, while Jesse Isileli got the honors for Defensive Player Of the Game.
Head Coach Oakland Salavea was awarded Coach of the Year.
