Governor Lemanu invited to President’s Pacific Summit

Lt. Governor Talauega Eleasao Ale is Acting Governor while Governor Lemanu Peleti Mauga travels to the nation’s capital to attend a summit between President Joe Biden and Pacific leaders.

This will be the second meeting between the US President and leaders of the Pacific Forum, and follows the General Assembly of the United Nations which Pacific island leaders are attending.

The Governor’s Chief of Staff Loa Tuimavave Laupola said Governor Lemanu was invited by President Biden to attend the Leaders of the Pacific Island Forum Summit at the White House on Monday, September 25.

The Governor departed Thursday night and is accompanied by Chief of Staff Loa, his security officer Commander Alapati Fano, and Executive Secretary Sally Faumuina.
