The first ASG auction in many years is taking place today at the Procurement Office in Tafuna.
There was a steady stream of potential buyers when KHJ News stopped by this morning.
On sale were a large array of appliances, some looked new, while some looked good for parts only. There were washers, dryers, air conditioners, refrigerators, ovens, home and office furniture i.e., tables, filing cabinets, chairs, desks, beds, mattresses, couches, lamps, and home and commercial kitchen equipment. 
According to the Director of Property Management, Poleen Asalele, there will also be a public auction by sealed bid for vehicles on Friday, June 2.
The vehicles can be viewed from today to June 1 from 9AM to 3PM, at the Procurement Office yard.
The inventory being auctioned have been surveyed by various government departments for the last several years.
