Tafuna High School JROTC accomplished quite a feat at the World VEX Robotics World Championships held in Dallas last month.
The robot that they built, named TOA, won one of the eleven judges award. This was the first time a team from American Samoa participated.
Co-Team Captain Major Isalei Liaiga said they competed against 30,000 students, and placed 38 out of 55 JROTC units. They are thrilled that their robot won the Create Award.
