The President of the National Council of Churches (NCC), retired Reverend Aisoli Iuli, has rejected any church coming into Samoa which does not accept all teachings of Christ.

The former President of the Methodist Church of Samoa was referring to the Shincheonji Church of Jesus, which is looking to open a Samoan chapter and claims to be a pseudo-Christian religion group.

A pseudo-Christian religion is a group of people who follow a leader or group of leaders, who, while claiming to be Christians, teach their own doctrine.

Zion Mission Center recently opened its doors, earlier this year, as a theological school offering to teach individuals their Biblical doctrines.

“As the Leader of the National Council of Churches, I reject them. I’m shocked to see that people believe in such a thing, and if you believe in Jesus then you have to accept the whole Christian belief, not just part of it,” said Rev. Aisoli.

The Korean based church is said to offer the correct understanding of the Bible and Shincheonji.

Their website states that in the Bible there is said to be the general pastor, the pastor of prophecy, the promised pastor and the false pastor.

The Regional Instructor of Zion Christian Mission Center in Samoa, Mareko Taafua, told the newspaper everything they teach has to come from the Bible and in Revelation 22:18, it says that we shouldn’t add or take away from the word of God.
