I am writing to express my concern about the recent accident that put two motorcycle police officers in the hospital and the subsequent police report that was conducted by the same department involved in the accident.
As reported, Dimary Stowers, the driver of the vehicle involved in the accident, has been charged with two counts of careless driving causing bodily injury and failure on duty to give information and render aid. However, the police report regarding the incident was conducted by the same department in which the injured officers work. This presents a clear conflict of interest, as the police department may be biased in their report and findings.
I urge the Attorney General to investigate this matter and ensure that a fair and impartial report is conducted. The public deserves to know the truth about what happened and what led to the accident. It is important to have an independent investigation to ensure that justice is served and that measures are taken to prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future.
