Imvestigators are now trying to trace Facebook messenger pages, which had death threats directed at a Tafuna High School (THS) teacher.

There’s no official report from the Department of Public Safety (DPS) and Department of Education about the situation at Tafuna High School, which had police and drug sniffing dogs at the Warriors’ campus several hours today.

A report from Director of Homeland Security, Samana Semo Veavea, earlier this afternoon, said that the dogs alerted near five backpacks. He said, parents were called in to be present when the bags were searched.

The DHS Director later updated KHJ News saying that the search did not find any contraband.

A teacher is said to have reported death threats that were posted on Facebook messenger to police. Agents from the Vice and Narcotics Division were at the school, early this morning, in response to the teacher’s report.

A photo seen by KHJ News, of the police operation at Tafuna, showed students assembled in the Tafuna gym lining up with their backpacks, while police and the canine agents were checking them.

Students were kept at the school during the whole operation.

In late January, a similar incident happened at Tafuna, where a student who had been suspended for fighting posted a photo of himself brandishing a gun, along with a threatening message.
