People of all ages and sizes turned up, on Saturday, for the 2-mile walk and health check ups for Heart Month.

There were two simultaneous events at the DWYA Gym in Pago Pago and DWYA Gym in Tafuna. The one at Tafuna had a bigger crowd.

The participants, which included students of Tafuna High School and Manumalo Academy,  a few cabinet members, housewives, toddlers, fitness enthusiasts and media, had their height, weight and blood pressure checked.

Appointments to see the cardiology team, led by Dr. Eric Carter, were made for those on the borderline.

Gynecologist Dr. Tarr and her staff were also on hand to take appointments for women.

Some walked longer distances that morning, then joined aerobics in the DWYA gym. The event concluded with a light breakfast.
