A former Member of Parliament in Samoa has confessed on social media that he sexually abused young girls and women over several years.

Tapua’ī To’ese Ah Sam was the Member of Parliament for the District of Salega East in the 2011 General Elections when he ran for the Tautua Samoa Party.

Samoa Observer reports Tapua’i posted on YouTube on September 26, 2022 confessing to sexually abusing young girls and women over the years.

He said that many times he hated himself for the harm and damage that he has caused these innocent people and even thought about committing suicide.

He apologized to his victims and their families as well as his wife, children, grandchildren and his families.
