December 1 is World AIDS Day and this year’s theme “Equalize” is a call on global leaders and citizens to recognize and address the inequalities which are holding back progress in ending AIDS, and equalizing access to essential HIV services.
In American Samoa, a community group made up of clergy, educators, health activists, mothers, fathers and the various gender groups, work with the Health Department and LBJ hospital to promote awareness of HIV/AIDS and help stop the spread.
Chairman, Fr. Kelemete Puaauli, and member Fatima Langkilde, were on 93KHJ’s Morning Show today to talk about World AIDS Day.
