Sr. Mitzie Semo named to General Relief Society Board

A member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Mitzi Semo, has been appointed as a member of the General Relief Society Advisory Board.

The board assists the Relief Society General Presidency of the LDS Church.

Sister Semo is a former Hawaiian Airlines Station Manager in Pago Pago. Her husband served as Bishop of the Mesepa International Ward when they lived in American Samoa.

The 54-year-old is from the Orem 12th Ward (Samoan), Provo Utah 1st Stake (Tongan).

She is the daughter of former Public Defender, the late, Auivi M. Tuinei and Sylvia Meyers Tuinei. She Received an associate’s degree in liberal arts from BYU–Hawaii and a bachelor’s degree in business management from BYU–Idaho; she currently works as a service manager at BYU.

Mitzi has served in many capacities in her ward: family history consultant; stake Young Women president; counselor in ward Young Women and Primary presidencies; camp director and advisor; ward Primary president; Primary teacher; ward pianist; and full-time missionary in Paraguay Asuncion mission.
