A local business is set to go international.
Moana Chips, in its third year of production, will be attending The Food & New Product Show on October 7th-9th in Honolulu, Hawaii. They will be selling, displaying, and also giving out samples.
The Food & New Product Show in Hawaii will feature over 200 exhibitors promoting food, innovative new products for the home, goods from local jewelry-makers and artisans. It will be held at the Blaisdell Exhibition Hall.
The food section is a popular attraction with vendors offering tasty treats and new food delicacies.
Patricia Vaivao, owner of Moana Chips, says they are excited to be part of the show. She told KHJ News that they’re moving towards the international market but for now, they’re focusing on getting their products to the states. At present, Moana Chips is selling on the west coast and is available on Amazon.
Vaivao explained, Moana Chips started with a vision to export locally made food from local ingredients. She said they are working on becoming organic.
