This Friday is the closing date for ANZ Bank in American Samoa.
The bank, which has served American Samoa for 21 years, is farewelling customers and the territory with a few events.
It’s offering hotdogs and hamburgers at its two locations for customers. Employees held a wave yesterday, and Thursday is a formal closing ceremony at ANZ’s Fagatogo branch.
Regional Country Head of ANZ Guam and American Samoa, Clarke Schaumann, who arrived in the territory last night, says all accounts have to be closed by Friday.

There’s still about $15 million worth of accounts remaining and after this Friday, this is what will happen to accounts that are not closed.
