A man convicted of assault has been placed on 24 months probation and fined $3,000.
Kolio Lea’e was charged with one count of assault in connection with a domestic violence incident in June.
While the defendant escaped further jail time after his pretrial confinement, he has a felony case pending which may send him behind bars.
Lea’e must remain a law abiding citizen, and undergo an assessment by the Department of Human and Social Services assessment.
He is to attend Domestic Violence Counseling and cannot have any contact with the victim.
Lea’e will be credited for the 44 days he spent at the TCF in pretrial confinement.
