
A woman is accused on threatening her husband with a knife all because he didn’t teak her if his plans for the weekend.
On the early morning of July 18, 2022, the Tafuna Police Substation (TPS) received a call from an off-duty police officer regarding a domestic violence incident. A couple was fighting and the woman was walking around with a knife threatening to stab her husband.
Officers confronted the wife, handcuffed her and took both she and her husband in for questioning.
When questioned, the husband explained that his wife became angry when she found out that he was going to visit his parents and spend the weekend with them, without her.
He said she threw a beer can at him and tossed out most of the contents of their house. As he was running out of the house she threw a knife at him but missed.
The wife meanwhile said she was very angry when she learned that her husband was planning to visit his parents and spend the weekend with them without telling her about his plan.
When she was patted down at the police station, a hand rolled cigarette which turned out to be a marijuana joint, was found. The woman claimed she didn’t know how the joint got into her pocket as she was drunk.
The defendant is charged with unlawful possession of marijuana, second degree assault and first degree property damage, all felony charges, plus public peace disturbance and armed with a dangerous weapon, misdemeanors.
