Rep Faimealelei appointed to LBJ Board of Directors

The Secretary of the Board of Directors of the LBJ Tropical Medical Center, Moefaauo Bill Emmsley, has resigned from the board. And Governor Lemanu Peleti Mauga has appointed Rep. Faimealelei Anthony Allen as his replacement.

Moefaauo who has been Acting CEO of LBJ since the resignation of former CEO Faumuina John Faumuina last month, is understood to be an applicant for the CEO position.

A memo from Governor Lemanu yesterday said he is appointing to the LBJ Medical Center Board of Directors, Rep Faimealelei A. Allen.

“This is to fill the vacancy made by the resignation of Moefa’auo Bill Emmsley from the Board of Directors. This appointment will be effective immediately and continue until the conclusion of the next session of the legislature unless he is confirmed by the Senate.”

He added that Rep. Faimealelei’s appointment will be submitted to the Senate for confirmation.

Faimealelei was a member of the hospital board for 8 years under the Lolo Talauega administration.
