On November 1st of last year, KHJ News reported that customers of Progressive Insurance were looking for help in dealing with the company after their office at Fagatogo Square closed, suddenly, in October.
Notices were posted on the office door saying the office was closed but there was no phone number, email or address to contact, regarding customers’ insurance matters with the company.
The closure of the local office occurred right when the Progressive Company in Samoa filed for bankruptcy.
Yesterday, the office of the ASG Insurance Commissioner issued the following announcement:
NOTICE OF INSURANCE COMPANY CLOSURE– PROGRESSIVE PPG LTD., OXFORD OF THE PACIFIC LTD., INSURANCE OF THE PACIFIC IN AMERICAN SAMOA!
“This notice is for all individuals and businesses policy holders for the above listed insurance companies. Please come to the Insurance Commissioner’s Office in Nuuuli (Pentagon Bldg. 2nd Floor – 2 story building across from the Nuuuli intersection to the Airport/Tafuna) and complete a complaint/claim form relative to your insurance policy.”
“Please follow the COVID-19 DOH guidelines, with a face mask and absolutely no children. Office hours are M–F (9am–3pm). Any question, please call 256-8776.”
