The Board of Directos of the LBJ Tropical Medical Center has appointed Chief Financizl Officer, Emau Amosa, as Acting CEo of the hospital.
Chairman of the Board Dr Malotumau Tuiolosega has not responded to emails but two senior officials of the LBJ Hospital confirmed that Amosa has been named as the interim CEO.
The board chairman also announced the appointment during a zoom sessions with other ASG officials today.
Former CEO Faumuina John Faumuina handed his resignation to Governor Lemanu Peleti Mauga Monday citing personal and health reasons. He admitted to KHJ News however that “micromanaging “ by the current board was a factor in his decision to resign at this time,
He had 1 1/2 years left on his current contract. Faumuina was appointed by former Governor Lolo Moliga to head the hospital. He also served as CEO during the Tauese Togiola administration , .
Members of the hospital board are Dr Jean Anderson-vice chair, Moefaauo Bill Emmsley, Tamasoalii Dr Joseph Tufa and Fonoti Doug Jessop.
