Parents have complained about their children not having devices to conduct their classes on line under the Department of Education’s Remote Learning Plan.

During a press conference today Director of Education Talauega Dr Samasoni Asaeli acknowledged that there are not enough devices for students.

He cited shipping delays as one of the factors for the shortage of devices. He announced that 1,100 chrome books for elementary schools have arrived and these have been distributed.

For high schools they hope to take delivery of more than 8,800 laptops next month. The Director said high school seniors are being prioritized for the devices as this is their final year.
