The American Samoa WIC Program, under the Department of Human and Social Services issues the following announcement:
“Based on an FDA Advisory, we are alerting all WIC participants who purchased Similac or Alimentum Infant Formula not to use these formulas if the first two digits of the code are 22 through 37; and the code on the container contains K8, SH, or Z2; and the expiration date is 4-1-2022 (APR 2022) or later.
“All authorized WIC stores are also asked not to sell these items and to limit the sale of untainted products to two cans per participant.
