Father charged in beating of son with PVC pipes

A man accused of beating his son with two pvc pipes is being held on bail of $10,000.

Around 1:30 am on November 28, 2021, a woman called the Leone police station to report that a couple’s loud argument was disturbing the peace in their home.

Police were informed that the whole household was awoken when they heard swearing and vulgar language coming from the couple’s bedroom.

The woman Who called in the report told police that afternoon the defendant had beat up his 16-year old son with two pvc pipes.

During questioning at the police station, the victim said while he was playing with his younger brother’s tablet his brother was annoying him so he slapped him. His father called his name s verbal times but he ignored him and kept on playing. He said this made his father mad and beat him up.

Police called EMS to treat injuries on the boy’s chest, back, shoulders and forehead from the beating.

The father was charged with abuse of a child and second degree assault.
