“We are not against Covid vaccinations,“ declared a spokesperson for a group that’s protesting the mandate for American Samoa Government workers to be vaccinated for Covid 19.

The group, Amerika Samoa Ala Mai, is holding a third protest at 3:30 today in front of McDonald’s, Tafuna.

Spokesperson Tauva Esera-Mauga explained that they want people to make their own decisions about Covid vaccinations instead of being forced to take the shots. She said health authorities should inform and answer questions from the public about all aspects of Covid vaccines including their negative impacts on the health of people.

She claims that several people have died locally, some very young, after getting the Covid shots.

Esera-Mauga said this information will not come to light because health officials are hiding it but their group have done their own research and know that while we don’t have a Covid case in the territory, people have died because of the Covid vaccine.

“All we ask is for the health officials to explain the negative effects of the Covid vaccines and let people decide on their own whether to get vaccinated or not,” stated the group spokesperson.

Amerika Samoa Ala Mai is dead against the mandate by the Governor for ASG workers to get vaccinated as a condition of keeping their jobs or for joining the ASG workforce for new hires.

Esera-Mauga believes everyone knows this violates their individual rights but they’re afraid to speak up.

She reiterated their group members are not anti-vaxxers; they just want informed discussion about the drugs being pumped into people’s bodies in the name of protecting them, and let people make their own decisions.

The group invites members of the public to join their protest at 3:30 pm today infront of McDonald’s Tafuna.
