Inmate Thomas Siaumau received a five year probated sentence for escape from confinement.
He was one of five inmates who broke out from the Territorial Correctional Facility on October 19th, 2019, a crime he pled guilty to.
Siaumau was serving a 30+year jail term for a 2017 incident in which he was convicted of seven charges, the most serious of which was shooting at a police vehicle and nearly hitting a police officer at the Tony Solaita Field. He was also convicted of damaging lights at the field, possession of an illegal weapon and unlawful use of a weapon in the same incident.
