Community partners help veterans integrate back into society

The Director of the Veterans Affairs Pacific Healthcare System says events such as this week’s Mental Health Summit, are what’s needed to help veterans settle back into civilian life and their communities.

Dr. Adam Robinson spoke via Zoom from Honolulu, at the opening of the Summit on Wednesday morning.

He was highly impressed with the organization of the conference which was coordinated by Dr Jueta McCutchan and staff of the local VA Clinic, headed by Dr Fred Uhrle.

The Director emphasized the important role that community partners like family support groups, churches and service providers, both government and non-government, play in assisting veterans integrate into society after their active service.
