Tonight a Total Lunar Eclipse will be observed throughout the entire Pacific Ocean.
This means most of the islands will witness a reddish full moon beginning from 9:45 onwards.
A lunar eclipse occurs when the Moon moves into the Earth’s shadow. This can occur only when the Sun, Earth, and Moon are exactly or very closely aligned, with Earth between the other two, and only on the night of a full moon.
The Moon is above the horizon during this eclipse, so with good weather conditions the entire eclipse is visible.
