Samoana High School teacher Sabrina Suluai Mahuka‘s idea of nurturing and molding students simply by pairing them up with mentors who would listen to and guide them, has snowballed,
Now all high schools are invited to select students for the second Meal With a Mentor event this Friday.
And it’s not going to be held in a classroom at Samoana High School. The students and their mentors will sit down to a dinner at Lee Auditorium, thanks to sponsorship by the Dept of Commerce.
The first event had about 30 students but on Friday, 70 plus students are expected.
