Date of medical charter changed, fare is $911

There’s been some changes for the medical charter next month.

The Director of the Medicaid Office, Sandra King-Young announced on KVZK-TV last night that the flight date has been changed.

She also revealed that no cargo will be allowed on the flight therefore there’s no break on the cost share for those that have to pay their fares.

King-Young said the fare is $911 and the cost is a federal requirement.

Next Monday, December 28 is when travelers can begin paying their fares for the medical charter at Treasury.

They first have to pick up a form from the Medicaid Office at the ASTCA Building in Tafuna.

A week will be provided for passengers to pay their fares after which any spaces will be given to others on the waiting list.
