The Parents of Children with Special Needs Network, in collaboration with the DOH Family 2 Family Center, DOH Helping Hands Early Intervention Program, and Alofa Tunoa Samoa Medical Supply, is raising funds to purchase a specialty wheelchair for a 22 year old who is home/bed bound because he does not have a wheelchair.
Network chair Sandy Samoa invites the public to take part in this effort to meet the pressing need for this young man and his family.
The wheelchair will allow him to leave the home and attend PCSN programs, attend physical and speech therapy at LBJ, and explore his community.
Donations are being received by the Alofa Tunoa Samoa Medical Supply and are tax deductible.
Southseas Broadcasting Inc is helping promote this cause which will culminate in a radiothon on December 18th.
Samoa says, “Our goal is $6000 for this specialty Tilt in Space wheelchair.”
