The governor also gave the opportunity to Lt Governor Lemanu Peleti Mauga to thank the DOH leaders and staff.

A presentation by DOH Epidemiologist Dr Aifili John Tufa on the coronavirus situation followed.

Prior to this televised part of the cabinet meeting, the TV crew and DOH doctors were asked to leave the room for 10-15 minutes during which the governor admonished those who were involved in campaign ads that do not support the administration’s policies.

According to our sources, the governor was disappointed that those responsible were not considerate of the fact that the candidate they are supporting was part of the administration.

While no names were mentioned it’s understood that Lolo was referring to the Lemanu and Talauega camp.

KHJ News understands that the governor’s remarks at yesterday’s meeting were similar to what was expressed in his memo about loyalty and commitment issued earlier this week.

Lolo also cited an event by the Lemanu /Talauega camp that was held at Suiga ula for which he advised two days before the event not to hold it there as the fales under construction were not completed but the event went ahead anyway.

When the governor finished, Deputy Director of Samoan Affairs Malemo Tausaga, who’s chairman of the Lemanu and Talauega Campaign Committee, raised his hand for a chance to speak but was told it was not the time and if anything needs to be said to meet in his office and not there.
