Ola Malosi Family Combines Exercise and Ministry

Detainees at the Juvenile Detention Center and children from families in need will receive school supplies donated by the Ola Malosi Family.

For its community service project for 2020 Ola Malosi decided to hold a back to school supply drive with coaches, members and their friends and supporters donating books, pencils, crayons, folders markers, construction paper, rulers, glue, dictionaries, erasers, sharpeners and other school supplies.

Coaches Joe and Leuila Ioane said, “These are challenging times and we pray that through our joint efforts, Ola Malosi Family can make a difference in the lives of our people through community service, giving and being a living testimony of God’s grace. “

Leuila and Joseph said they’ve been doing the exercise activity for 6 years and see Ola Malosi Family “as a ministry to help our people physically, mentally and most importantly, spiritually.

600 plus have gone through the free program offered by Ola Malosi Family and they currently have 80 active members.

Helping Leuila and Joe as volunteer coaches are Kennedy Nofoagatotoa, James Aulava and Lina Scanlan.

The group thanks the leadership of the 9th Mission Support Command for providing them a home to train and support the Army Reserve and community.

The group plans to present their donations to the chosen recipients children of families in need and detainees at the Juvenile Detention Center next Friday.
