A man was killed in a one car accident at Utusi’a on the east side of the island early yesterday morning. Photos taken by eyewitnesses showed a white Hyundai floating in shallow waters.
Police sources told KHJ News that there were two other males in the vehicle who had left the scene before they arrived.
They were located during the day yesterday and taken into custody.
According to those who were at the crash site , the victim was in the back seat and the vehicle was driving eastward.
Yesterday evening the Department of Health held a prayer service for the victim, an employee of DOH.
Director Motusa Tuileama Nua said he was unable to provide any information as he only learned about the death yesterday evening.
Commissioner of Public Safety Le’i Sonny Thompson has not responded to our request for information about the accident.
