When the governor first announced the current work arrangements for the ASG workforce, he indicated that a review will be made after a certain time frame to determine sustainability.
At present, ASG employees are working 20 hours a week and getting paid their full 40 hours as part of preventive measures to prevent and protect against coronavirus.
The Chairman of the Coronavirus Task Force Iulogologo Joseph Pereira said the working format is continually being assessed by the directors relative to the impact on the quality of government services to the people.
This issue is one of the items being reviewed to determine the next course of action when the 3rd Amended Declaration lapses on May 1, 2020.
He points out that practicing social distancing has been deemed the most effective method to stop and slow the spread of the COViD-19 in the United States and ASG is committed to this practice.
Iulogologo said the Coronavirus Task Force and Working Group are currently assessing all of the existing restrictions in preparation of its report and recommendations on the COVID-19 Protection and Mitigation Plan for the next 30 days.
