In her message for Flag Day, Congresswoman Aumua Amata reflects on the relationship between Tutuila and Manu’a and the United States.

“Today I want to say Thank You to America and Thank You to our Forefathers for having the wisdom, 120 years ago, to join the American family and become AMERICAN SAMOA.
“Now, as the world is suffering through this terrible pandemic, it is clear that America is once again there for us and is giving us the support we need to minimize the impact of the COVID-19 difficulties.
“I also want to express my sincere appreciation to Governor Lolo and to the members of the Government Task Force for so effectively keeping the virus away from the shores of our precious islands.
“Most of all, I want to thank God Almighty, the Source of our peace. Happy Flag Day!”
