The integrity of drug tests for ASG employees which are administered by the Department of Human Resources have been called into question.
This follows an incident involving the drug test of an ASG employee facing drug charges in an active case.
More than two ASG sources have confirmed the employee facing drug charges insisted on getting a drug test.
After the drug test showed a positive result, the employee claimed that the urine sample used was not his, that it was the urine sample of the DHR employee administering the test.
According to our sources which includes a cabinet member, the DHR employee administering the drug test confirmed that this is what happened.
DHR then requested an investigation of the incident and suspended their employee conducting the “tainted” drug test.
KHJ News learned of the case two weeks ago and sent questions to the Director and Deputy Director of Human Resources for comments. As of last night, the questions have still not been answered.
In investigating this story, sources who have been forthcoming with information in the past have all remained tight lipped.
KHJ News understands that since the drug testing program for ASG began, many employees have lost their jobs because of positive drug tests.
The Senate Public Safety Committee plans to question Director of Human Resources Mrs Eseneiaso Liu soon about the drug testing program.
