The Federal Emergency Management Agency has been keeping a close watch on the weather disturbances near the territory and is sending personnel on tonight’s Hawaiian Air flight.

This has been confirmed by Homeland Security Director Samana Semo Ve’ave’a.

He says FEMA is sending seven representatives to the territory tonight now for planning in case the weather system develops into something more serious and it would be too late to send people here on Monday.

The FEMA reps will attend a briefing for ASG to discuss the weather situation and response efforts tomorrow morning.

Here’s the latest on the weather from Meteorologist Joe LaPlante of the National Weather Service in Tafuna.
