On Friday Night Team Amerika Samoa’s 7th and 8th graders played California in the JPS Paradise Classis Consolation game.
The team bounced back after their 0-40 loss against Hawaii in the Wednesday opener and outmatched California by a final score 37-28.
Offensive standouts were Miller Tuimaseve, Deacon Samoa, Ilailio Sefika with the help of their durable offensive line while the defense had multiple sacks, tackles for a loss and turnovers.
Team Amerika Samoa’s D1 took 3rd place in the tournament and their spirits were high after the game.
Tonight our seniors are in a championship rematch against Hawaii Fire, both teams played for place last year, but Hawaii Fire won in a stunning buzzer beater in overtime.
