Cristopher’s Store in Iliili passed inspection by the Environmental Division of the Department of Health  late Saturday and was re-operned for business that evening.
DOH had closed the store down Thursday because workers handling food did not have vali health cards and also because the area where food was prepared and cooked was unclean.

John Fuimaono, head of the Environmental Division said they checked the store on Saturday evening and all of the workers had valid health cards. The kitchen area had also been cleaned to their satisfaction.

Therefore they allowed the store to reopen Saturday evening.

This afternoon the health inspectors conducted  a follow up inspection of Korner Café at KS Mart which was also closed last Thursday. Fuimaono said what they found was a spotless kitchen and they have given the restaurant the okay to reopen.
