A local businesswoman spent the weekend in jail for third degree assault in connection with an incident last year in which she slapped her son’s now ex- girlfriend.
Tulagafou Nofoagatoto’a, owner of Le Fofo Spa was originally charged with disturbing the peace and third degree assault. A jury found her guilty of third degree assault and the PPD charge was dismissed.
Last Friday she was sentenced to 12 months probation, and ordered to spend 48 hours at the TCF beginning 6 pm Friday up to 6pm yesterday.
