Two men are in Samoa Police custody charged with possession of cannabis.
According to a post on the Samoa Police Service Facebook page, the two men aged 42 and 27 years, were netted in a police raid at Tafa’igata where the country’s prison is located.
“This was a result of a police raid conducted due to concerned public members reporting marijuana activities seen in the Tafaigata area,” said the post.
Police seized 162 plastic bags of marijuana dried leaves, branches and marijuana seeds.
A photograph on the same post shows what look like mobile phones and cigarette lighters.
It is not known when the pair will appear in court.
