The owner of Cheat Day American Samoa Mrs Tina Reid is making her presence felt at the Breadfruit or Ulu Summit in Honolulu .
Invited as a panelist to the summit, Mrs Reid will be speaking today about making appetizing food with ulu flour produced here on Tutuila.
Most of the speakers so far have been talking about the technical aspects of ulu innovation.
Reports from the conference which opened Monday in Laie says the delegates have been raving about the desserts she ‘s produced.
For example ulu flour lemon bars, ulu flour banana cupcakes, and ulu flour koko Samoa brownies
Mrs Reid says, “I have provided baked goods utilizing ulu flour several times for this conference and they have been raved about! Everyone has a favorite and keep coming back for more and referring to them in their speeches,
Some of the attendees have offered to put her in contact with stores like Starbucks and Whole Foods especially since they are gluten free products.
Mrs Reid adds, “I am loving the opportunity to show people from all over the world what American Samoa can bring to the table, the dinner table.”
